Using Antique Mirror in Fine Art.

Our in house photographer "Flash" decided antique Mirror would be the perfect frame for one of his fine art photos titled "Restraint". The image represents the many different issues people face in their everyday lives compared to the perception of the perfect life we portray on various social media.

The use of mirror as a frame makes the image almost appear as if looking through a window with the mirror itself a subtle reminder that it is about self reflection and the restraints we all have.

Creating the frame itself was down to the geniuses that do all our mirror work. After a briefing on the requirements for the antiquing required, the guys were given free reign to interpret the instructions and create a 1.2m x 1.2m Glass/Mirror panel that would allow the image to blend seamlessly into the frame. The photo itself measures 900mm x 900mm

The limited edition artwork was recently displayed at the 2016 Byron Arts Classic Exhibition and is available for sale in our Personal Work gallery
